Labor Day 2018
The Prairie Sangha will not meet the evening of September 3. Our regular Monday evening meditations will resume on September 10.

On August 20 and 27, the Prairie Sangha will listen to "Metta: Car Wash of the Heart" by Anushka Fernandopulle. This metta talk was originally presented on July 15, 2018, at the Spirit Rock Meditation Center in Woodacre, CA.
Dharma Contemplation
This summer we're trying out a different format for the 8:00-8:30 pm portion of our Monday evening schedule.
As a group we'll read a dhamma teaching or sutta aloud and alternate between silent contemplation and offering reflections on the passage. This approach is based in part on Gregory Kramer's teachings on Dharma Contemplation.
Monday Evening Schedule Changes
Beginning Monday, June 4, the Prairie Sangha evening schedule will be modified as follows:
- 7:00 pm - Open practice and meditation instruction begins
- 7:15 pm - Recitation of the Refuge Chant, formal sitting period begins
- 7:45 pm - Formal sitting and meditationn instruction ends; tea break begins
- 8:00 pm - Tea break ends; Dhamma reading/talk & reflection begins
- 8:30 pm - Dhamma reading/talk & reflection ends
